Radio reshuffle upsets South Africa
Updated | By MornéJK
It is the season of change with some significant shifts in the radio industry.
Radio presenters are jumping ship and causing a stir online. The big announcement was that SA's favourite media personality, Bonang Matheba, who hosts The Front Row on Metro FM, had a new co-host.
Lerato Kganyago was announced as Bonang's co-host but after doing only one show together, Bonang unexpectedly announced her departure.
"After 3 years of making magic on the Front Row, I can confirm that I have officially stepped down as the host of the show," she posted on social media.

She went on to express her disappointment, saying: "My heart is broken. I was told about the changes to my show an hour before going on air."
Meanwhile, comedian Tumi Morake has hinted that she is considering a career in radio.
Speaking to MornéJK at this year's SAFTAS, she said that 2017 is a busy year and that she's exploring new media.
"I am doing a bit of everything, TV, might dabble in radio - you know," she said.
Social media users are not happy about the fact that Bonang is leaving but she assured them that she's not leaving radio for good.
There's no official word about where she's going next but some are speculating that she might join the online radio station Touch Central soon.
