Updated | By MornéJK
The winner of the first season of The Voice SA, Richard Stirton has released his debut album 'Middle Ground'.

Richard has been on a roller coaster ride since winning The Voice SA. He made waves in the music industry by earning his first major accolade of an iTunes #1 with his rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Sound of Silence'.
"These have been the most surreal last few months and I cannot believe I finally have the opportunity to start releasing original music. I am feeling very blessed and I hope that everybody enjoys the music I have to share," he told Jacaranda FM News.
He recently recorded his first original single, What Tears Me The Most written by award-winning artist James Bay.
Richard says he was very involved in the production process with Universal Music allowing him freedom to have input when it came to the writing and recording process.
