The Israeli–Palestinian conflict continues to affect millions of people.
Selena Gomez's cosmetics company, Rare Beauty, has announced that it will be donating funds to help Palestinian civilians.
Taking to Instagram, the beauty brand said that Palestinians are facing a devastating time.
“We are devastated by the images and reports coming from the Middle East,” stated the Instagram post.
“Thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes and millions of civilians have been displaced and left without access to food, water, medicine or basic necessities for survival."
Rare Beauty said people in Palestine should be protected, especially because children are also affected.
"A large number of these victims are children. Palestinian civilians must be protected, period,” stated the post.
“Rare Beauty will be making donations to the International Red Cross/ Red Crescent Societies – Magen David Adom and Palestinian Red Crescent Society – who are providing urgent care on the ground. We will also be donating to UNICEF to help get urgent medical relief and resources to the children of Gaza."

In October, Selena said she was taking a break from social media because of all the hate and violence that's happening around the world.
According to BMC Psychology, the use of social media significantly impacts mental health. It can lead to tremendous stress and increased sadness and isolation.
“I’ve been taking a break from social media because my heart breaks to see all of the horror, hate, violence, and terror that’s going on in the world. People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific. We need to protect ALL people, especially children, and stop the violence for good,” Selena wrote on her Instagram Story.

Selena is a big advocate of mental health. She launched the Rare Impact Fund benefit in October.
"My heart is full after this weeks inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit. This has always been a dream of mine and I’m forever grateful to everyone who has joined us on this mission to expand mental health services and education for young people around the world. I am encouraged by the amount of love and support in the room. The future is bright, this is only the beginning. Love you all so much!," she wrote on Instagram.
