Shawn Mendes cancels tour due to mental health concerns

Singer cancels his 'Wonder' world tour to attend to his mental health

The 23-year-old singer Shawn Mendes has cancelled over 80 shows. He took to Instagram to make the announcement of his decision to take time off from performing.

This follows shortly after the singer had been postponing some of his performances. In his statement, he expressed how he was not ready for the effect touring would have on him.
He went on to clarify that although he is cancelling the rest of his tour in North America and the UK, it does not mean he won’t be making new music.

All the fans are sad and disappointed. However, he has promised that after taking some time off and starting to feel better again, he will consider touring and performing.
