Sho Madjozi is quitting music

The 'John Cena' hitmaker has released new music, featuring some of SA's biggest stars,  Makhadzi and Gatsheni, but says she will no longer be releasing any other albums.

Sho Madjozi is done with music. 

The singer took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that she will soon release her third and last album. 

The announcement was made as part of the promotion for her latest single, 'Ndirine', which was released on Friday, 22 November. 

The new banger features some of the country's biggest stars, Makhadzi and award-winning Maskandi singer Gatsheni. 

"Tomorrow, I drop the lead single for what will be my third and last album. It’s been the wildest possible ride. Grateful for most of it. Limpopo Champions League vol.2," she announced on IG on Thursday. 

The album comes two years after Madjozi signed with international record label, Epic Records US.

Madjozi has enjoyed a successful music career since she broke into the music scene in 2018 with her debut album, 'Limpopo Champions League'. 

Her single, ' John Cena,' made her a global star. In 2019, she appeared on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', where she was joined on stage by the legendary wrestler John Cena. During the same year, she also won the 'Best New International Act' award at the annual BET Awards. 

The following year, Madjozi performed in Miami at the Super Bowl. 

She recently appeared on one of South Africa's biggest children's educational TV programmes, 'Takalani Sesame', for the 13th season.
