Social media pays tribute to Ray Phiri

Social media has paid tribute to legendary South African artist Ray Phiri.

Phiri passed away at the age of 70 after battling lung cancer.
"What a loss! Rest In Peace, Ray Phiri. Through your music, you never missed a beat. May it live on forever," BET Africa tweeted.
Karabo Mokgogo wrote: "Sad day for SA: Legendary South African jazz musician, Ray Phiri passed away after suffering from lung cancer."
Comedian Kagiso Lediga also paid tribute to Phiri, thanking him for the music.
EFF spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi also reacted to the news with sadness.
"So heart breaking: oh bra Ray Phiri. May his soul rest in perfect musical peace!" he wrote on twitter.
