Sophie Turner on why she hated being called a 'Jonas Brothers wife'
Sophie Turner says being referred to as one of "the wives" of the Jones brothers made her feel like a "plus one".
Sophie Turner recently divorced her husband, Joe Jonas.
In her first interview following the divorce, which took place in September 2023, the mother of two spoke about how she felt about being a wife to one of the Jonas brothers.
She says she hated being referred to as one of the "the wives", which made her feel like less than an individual.

"There was a lot of attention on the three brothers, and the wives," Sophie told British Vogue.
"Well, we were always called the wives, and I hated that," added Sophie.
She says this made her feel like she "was kind of this plus-one".
However, the 'Game of Thrones' alum says although society referred to her and the other ladies who are married to the Jones Brothers members as wives, her husband never made her feel like she was a plus one.
"That's nothing to do with him—in no way did he make me feel that," she explained. "It was just that the perception of us was as the groupies in the band."
During her time of divorce with Joe, the actress says she received a lot of support from her friends, including Taylor Swift, who offered her and her children a place to stay.
"The support I had from the women in my life during that time was the most amazing thing to see," she recalled. "I felt so held and so protected."
"Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year. I've never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space. She really has a heart of gold," she said during the interview.
