Taylor Swift speaks on attack that occurred at a dance class inspired by her music

Taylor Swift expresses shock over attack that took place in Southport, England.
Taylor Swift, 34, says she is shocked at the horror of what happened after children attending a dance class inspired by her music were attacked in Southport.
Three children aged nine, seven, and six died after being attacked with a knife while attending the lesson which was held at a primary school in the area. A young man reportedly entered the room and started attacking the children with a knife. It is not clear what his motive was. Police were called to the scene.
Eight other children reportedly suffered stab wounds, and five of the eight are still in critical condition. Two adults were injured while trying to protect the children. Following the attack, a 17-year-old boy from Banks in Lancashire was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, reports Sky News. He remains in custody. According to the publication, police said they didn't believe the attack was terror-related.

Swift took to Instagram to talk about the incident.
"The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I'm just completely in shock," wrote Swift on Instagram Stories.
"The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class.
"I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families."
