Trevor Noah denies dating Dua Lipa

Trevor Noah has laughed off claims that he is dating musician Dua Lipa after the two of them were recently spotted together at a restaurant.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Trevor said someone called the family of Dua Lipa and claimed that the comedian and the singer are having an affair. 

“And then the family calls the husband, like, ‘Oh my God, Trevor’s having an affair with your wife,” he told the publication.

Dua is said to be married to model Anwar Hadid, although the couple has not made it official in the media and some publications state that the two broke up in 2021. 

What sparked the rumours was when the two were spotted on a romantic dinner date at Miss Lily’s in New York City’s East Village in New York City in September. It was also reported that the pair were also seen sharing a kiss before while taking a walk.

A source told Daily Mail: "They were quietly sat away from everyone else at restaurant. It was clear they were into each other and sat close together throughout the meal. They left together and walked, stopping for long embraces and on the second kiss with hugs."

Trevor says one of his friends was also at the 'date'. 

“And my friend’s like, ‘I’m in the picture, too,’ and they’re like, ‘Well, that’s not what the tabloids say,' "Trevor told The Hollywood Reporter. 

He added that the media is very powerful when it comes to spreading rumours. 

"And it’s just amazing to me how powerful these things are,” he said.
