VIDEO: SONA 2016 less glamorous than before
This year the red carpet event ahead of the State Of The Nation Address was less glamorous than previous years with delegates toning it down a notch.
Perhaps it is the current economic climate and
government was trying to show South Africans that they are serious about saving
money.
The opulence that usually accompany the State Of The Nation Address was missing, but there were those who won over fashion experts.
Thuli Madonsela and the Minister of Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa were both on various people’s best dressed list, while Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Lindiwe Zulu got some flack for her Ndebele-inspired outfit.
Minister Malusi Gigaba, a favorite on the red carpet, got it right again, and so did Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula.
But Mandla Mandela and his wife stole the show n their traditional outfits.
