The Voice contestants need your vote

It's almost time for the voting lines to close and contestants are canvassing votes ahead of the top 8 announcement this Sunday.

Fan favourite, Almur Marais - better known as Stilfontein, is posting videos on social media asking fans to support his dream of being named South Africa's first ever winner of the talent search competition.


Almur is from Stilfontein in the North West and has given up his day job of being a fitter and turner, to chase after his dream of becoming a recording artist.


Almur's coach, Karen Zoid burst into tears during last Sunday's performance as the 25-year-old sang his heart our to garner votes from Mzansi.

Another contestant is Jono Johansen. 


The 18-year-old hails from Durban who completed matric at Kearnsey College.


He also  a double world champ chorister, having triumphed at the Cincinnatti World Choir Olympic Games in 2012, and again in Riga in Latvia in 2014, in the “Scenic Pop” category. 

Last week Prime Zulu was voted off the competition and he posted this heartfelt message on his facebook page, thanking South Africans for their support.


Prime Zulu, a musical theatre actor from Durban who is chasing his dreams in tribute to his dad, a musician, whom he lost in December 2014.
