A South African man, whose identity remains anonymous, decided to ask his girlfriend a big question in a surprising and heartwarming way.

The proposal was captured on video and shared on TikTok by a user.

The video quickly went viral, attracting an outpour of loving comments from internet users who were touched by the display of love.

The video begins with an excited Spur staff approaching a couple at their table with a sign that reads, "Will You Marry Me?"

The man can be seen nervously getting up from his seat as he prepares to get down on one knee and pop the big question to his girlfriend.

The girlfriend, overcome with shock and emotion, covers her face as the waiters scream and cheer in the background.

The post's comments section was abuzz with sweet and heartfelt comments as people gushed about the sweet proposal and celebrated the couple's love.

One user commented, "At Spur? An Automatic yes" and another user replied, "Romance is not dead."
