The renowned and award-winning investigative journalist, Devi Sankaree Govender is one of the judges for Miss South Africa 2022.

Sankaree Govender has spent the past 29 years in the media field and has worked for 'Carte Blanche' for 18 years and gained a reputation for being fearless in highlighting corruption and crime in South Africa.
"Our country stands on the shoulders of women who refused to give up yet South Africa is still one of the most dangerous places to live, especially if you are a woman," she says.

On the first day of judging, Sankaree Govender mentioned what she will be looking for in the next Miss South Africa.
"I'm looking for intelligence. Beauty is beauty, but intelligence is something you have and you do work at. The second thing I'm looking at is somebody that has a sense of humor. You must be able to laugh at yourself."

The next Miss South Africa will be crowned on 13 August 2022 at Sun Arena, Times Square at 18:30 on DStv channel 101 and 161.
