Zahara nominated for Best Afro Album Of Democracy at the SA Afro Music Awards

Zahara's music continues to inspire. The singer has received an award nomination months after her passing.
Congratulations to Zahara who has been nominated for an SA Afro Music Award.
The singer is nominated for 'Best Female Afro Soul Artist Of Democracy' and her 2011 debut album, 'Loliwe', is nominated for Best Afro Album Of Democracy.
The album won her eight awards including 'Best Female Artist' and 'Album of the Year' at the South African Music Awards in 2012, a few months after it was released.
Zahara is nominated alongside Zonke, Siphokazi, Judith, and Moneoa at this year's SA Afro Music Awards.

The nominations come eight months after Zahara's passing.
The singer died in hospital after being admitted due to liver complications.
She was 36 at the time of her passing.
The awards will be held on October 26 at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni. This is the fifth edition of the awards ceremony.

Zahara broke into the music industry in 2011 and by 2018 she had garnered her 40th music award.
