Zahara's memorial details revealed

The musician's memorial service will be held on Thursday, 14 December.
As the world continues to mourn the death of one of its most gifted musicians, Zahara, real name Bulelwa Mkutukana, the Minister of Sport, Arts & Culture Zizi Kodwa has released details about the singer's memorial service.
Taking to social media, Minister Kodwa announced that the 'Loliwe' hitmaker's memorial service will be held at Rhema Bible Church on Thursday, 14 December, from 11:00 until 14:00.
Zahara, who was born on 9 November 1987, died on 11 December 2023.
Following her passing, many people around the world have been sharing messages of condolence.
The Minister also expressed how saddened the country is about the passing of the icon.
"I am very saddened by the passing of @ZaharaSA. My deepest condolences to the Mkutukana family and the South African music industry. Government has been with the family for some time now. Zahara and her guitar made an incredible and lasting impact in South African music," he wrote.

He even visited Zahara's family.
"This afternoon, we spent the afternoon with @ZaharaSA’s loved ones. Our heartfelt prayers go the Mkutukana family, Zahara’s friends and the entire music fraternity. The passing of Zahara is a profound loss to the country. #RIPZahara," he captioned the photo of him alongside Zahara's family.
Zahara died at the age of 36. Her family did not cite the cause of her death.
The singer has been in hospital since November. Although the family confirmed that she was in the hospital, they didn't disclose her illness.
