The basic education department says it expects a full report on investigations into a leaked Mathematics Paper 2.
Minister Angie Motshekga and her director-general Mathanzima Mweli says police have assured the department they would soon arrest the person responsible for leaking the paper.
Motshekga says she expects a report by close of business today.
Speaking at a briefing in Pretoria Mweli revealed that an investigation by the Hawks led them to six learners at schools in Gauteng.
"The evidence coming up is money has been paid to make the exam paper available," Mweli says.

He adds that there is also evidence that an education official might be involved in the leaking of the maths paper.
Minister Motshekga says she wants those who are found guilty, convicted.
"Arrests are imminent. My biggest wish is that we should at least get a conviction."
Motshekga says they will continue to ensure that those who leak exam papers face the full might of the law.
"People who steal are those who have access to exam papers and those are not children, it is adults," she says.
