ANC postpones Pule Mabe inquiry

The grievance panel established to hear allegations of sexual misconduct against ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe has been postponed to next week.
The ANC says the panel was scheduled to sit this week but was postponed at the request of both parties.
Mabe has been in KwaZulu-Natal this week for the ANC’s birthday celebrations and election manifesto launch. .
In December last year, Mabe's personal assistant wrote a letter to the party's deputy secretary-general, Jessie Duarte, alleging that the ANC spokesperson had sexually harassed her.
Mabe has denied the allegations.
The party’s acting spokesperson Dakota Legoete said they cannot comment on the substance of these allegations.
"It has been postponed at the request of both parties, that it sit next week, and that they be allowed to consulate their representatives for the final submissions and head of argument as the matter will be closed.
"For now, as the ANC, we respect the rights of the parties to have postponed the matter, and so far as the ANC we will not be in a position to comment.”
Legoete added the grievance panel will be lead by Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini and National Council of Province chair Thoko Didiza.
