The family of slain Tshegofatso Pule has finally come face to face with the father of her unborn child on a wet Monday in Roodepoort.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says Shoba is facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Speaking after Shoba’s brief appearance, Pule’s uncle Tumisang Kakate said seeing the alleged mastermind behind’s Pule’s murder opened up old wounds.
“Even this one is worse because we’ve long had our suspicions with his involvement in the whole murder.
“It is a bucket of mixed emotions seeing him on the witness dock, reason being we don’t know why he could have committed a certain offence. We don’t know what would have driven him besides the pregnancy of Tshegofatso.”

The 32-year-old, who was dressed in a black suit, looked calm while standing in the dock.
Pule’s family wore ‘Justice for Pule and the baby’ t-shirts, while Shoba’s family was not spotted.
The man who pulled the trigger, Muzikayise Malephane, pleaded guilty to four charges brought against him and was sentenced to 20 years on Friday.
Malephane also turned state witness which led to the arrest of Shoba.
The convicted murderer told the court that he had been paid R70 000 to kill the eight months pregnant Pule in June last year.
Kakate said there is a sense of relief now that Shoba has been arrested.
The matter was postponed until March 1 for a formal bail application.
