Capital Park areas to be without power on Tuesday

Capital Park and surrounding areas will be without power on Tuesday as a result of emergency repair work at the Capital Park 123 KV substation.

The power outage will affect residents of Capital Park, Les Marais and Innesdale between 09:00 and 18:00.
“A leak has been detected on one of the transformers inside the substation which needs to be attended to urgently as a preventative and precautionary measure,” says City of Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

“In the interest of safety, all electrical appliances must be treated as live (still on) at all times during the supply interruption period. The city apologises for the inconvenience arising from the emergency repair work.”
