DA reveals blue beret
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
The DA introduced its own beret at an election rally in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, Beeld newspaper reported on Monday.

Democratic Alliance supporters wore blue berets carrying the DA logo at the Tshwane University of Technology, in Nelspruit, on Sunday.
DA leader Helen Zille denied any similarity to the red berets worn by Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema and his supporters.
She said the DA beret was merely for marketing purposes during its election campaign, and that the headgear with which the DA associated itself was the hardhat.
Zille reportedly told the newspaper she thought the beret fitted in well with the rest of the party's campaign hats.
Mpumalanga DA leader Anthony Benadie reportedly said the beret was not a symbol of the DA's ideology, but was just a fashion item.
