DA terminates MPL’s membership over ‘EFF leak’
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has terminated the party membership of Gauteng provincial legislature member Nkele Molapo.
While the party is refusing the divulge the exact reason for Molapo’s expulsion, she was reportedly accused of providing Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema with information on a caucus discussion on the fate of controversial former Tshwane city manager Moeketsi Mosola.

The decision to revoke her DA membership was made by the party's federal executive on Saturday.
DA Gauteng leader John Moodey says Molapo can still appeal the decision.
“She was found guilty of all the cases and her membership would be terminated. In other words, she loses not just her membership as DA member, but also as a member of the legislature and that was confirmed by the federal executive on Saturday.
“So, she will be issued with the notice of termination of membership and then she has ten days in which she can appeal.”
