The Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal have appealed to members of the public to help locate a person of interest linked to the July unrest.
Officials from the Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit have been looking for Durban resident Mbalenhle Ncube.
Hawks spokesperson Thandi Mbambo says Ncube used to live in the Musgrave area.
"She is being sought by police as a person of interest in the investigation into the unrest that unfolded in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in July 2021."
"Anyone with information of her whereabouts is requested to contact Lieutenant Colonel Mputsoe on 082 784 3004."
More than 300 people were killed during the week-long civil unrest and looting in parts of KZN and Gauteng in July 2021.
Over 60 alleged instigators have been arrested.
