EFF: Mamabolo ‘not remorseful’ about Malema claims
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) believe African National Congress (ANC) MP Boy Mamabolo has failed to show remorse for the claims of abuse made against Julius Malema.

The EFF leader and his wife Mantoa are dragging Mamabolo to court after he claimed Malema abused her during the recent State of the Nation Address.

Mamabolo repeated the claim during the subsequent debate on the address.
He has since issued an apology, saying he received the information from “a jealous friends of Mantoa Malema”.
But EFF spokesperson Delisile Ngwenya says Malema and his wife will be proceeding with the defamation case against Mamabolo.
“He took the decision to continue with lawsuit because Boy Mambolo failed to issue a statement of apology at the time that was prescribed for him, he did not issue an apology on the platform he was supposed to issue it from and where he made the allegations.
“I do not think Boy Mambolo has any remorse for what he has said. He seems to be apologising, but he is not apologising wholeheartedly. So he does not seem to be in a good condition in making amends.”
Malema has also upped his initial demand of R1 million in damages to R2 million.
