Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) has called on all Muslims to continue fasting until Ramadan comes to an end on Thursday evening.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar for fasting and prayer.
The council's first deputy president Moulana Abdul Allie has called on Muslims to continue fasting tonight as the moon did not sight.
"Our month of Ramadan and the establishment thereof, and the end of Ramadan for the establishment of the Eid celebrations are determined by the citing of the new moon.
"If the moon is not cited Thursday, it will be the day of fasting and Friday will be the day of Eid."
This year, Eid-al-Fitr in South Africa will take place on Friday.
