Family call for Dullah Omar's name to be removed from Cape region
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The family of late African National Congress (ANC) struggle stalwart Dullah Omar has spoken out against the ruling party.

The Omar family is calling for the removal of his name from an ANC region in the Western Cape.
It has also distanced itself from the region's planned march in support of President Jacob Zuma.
The late ANC veteran's sister Latifa says her brother, the first justice minister in a democratic South Africa, "was a man of integrity, honesty and humility".
In an interview with Jacaranda FM News she says: "This contrasts sharply with the behaviour and actions in recent years of many ANC leaders and members, up to and including President Jacob Zuma."
Latifa says the family had not been consulted on the renaming of the ANC region which bears her brother's name.
She says: "The ANC has been derailed and almost hijacked"
