Four suspects arrested for lion parts

Police in Limpopo have arrested four suspects who were found in possession of lion parts.
Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspects were arrested during an intelligence-driven operation yesterday.
"Four suspects aged between 29 and 48 years - all women - were arrested for possession of the body parts of two lions at Praktiseer outside Groblesdal," says Ngoepe.
Ngoepe says the suspects hail from Venda, Lebowakgomo, Phalaborwa and Tubatse.

He says two lion heads, eight lion paws and two lion skins were found in their possession.
"The motive and the origin of this parts is still unknown.
"The suspects will appear before Praktiseer Magistrate Court soon."
