Free State policeman shoots wife, himself
Updated | By ANA
A policeman shot his wife dead and then turned the gun on himself in Hillside View, Bloemfontein, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Free State police said.

“It is alleged that the 50-year-old warrant officer based at [the] Bloemfontein public order policing [unit] went to fetch his wife at a party not far from their residence at about 1.50am [on Sunday] morning, Lt-Col Thandi Mbambo said.
The couple allegedly had an argument on the way home, and just as they were about to enter their home the husband allegedly shot the wife three times.
“He was also found with a bullet wound to the head and [his] service pistol next to his body.”
A case of murder and an inquest had been registered for further investigation, Mbambo said
