Grade 11 pupil stabbed to death in Limpopo
A grade 11 pupil from Magoletša High School in Kgapane has been stabbed to death during a fight with a fellow pupil.
The provincial Department of Education says the principal was called on Monday afternoon and informed that a group of pupils fought on their way home from school.
Spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene says three other pupils were injured during the fight.
One subsequently succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
“It is so devastating and saddening that we had to lose a young life in this manner,” says Chuene.
“This is something that needs all of us to collaborate on, to enforce laws prohibiting learners to carry dangerous weapons in schools and in communities.
We accordingly send our condolences to the bereaved family and the entire school community.”
