Limpopo cops nabbed for corruption
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Hawks have arrested two police officers for corruption
and theft at Pienaarsriver in Limpopo, on Wednesday.

Hawks spokesperson Matimba Maluleke says the officers allegedly stopped and searched a car on the N1.
Maluleke says there was a substantial amount of money in the car.
“The officers then allegedly threatened to charge the complainant with money laundering and allegedly demanded a R20 000 bribe in order to let him go. Shortly afterwards the complainant realised that R210 000 was apparently missing and he went to the police station to open a case.”
The officers were later arrested and are expected to appear at the Bela-Bela Magistrate Court on charges of corruption and theft on Thursday.
