Limpopo gives Cyril Ramaphosa the thumbs up
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The African National Congress
(ANC) in Limpopo has endorsed Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa for the position
of ANC president.

Ramaphosa received 391 votes while his main rival, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, received 104.
Limpopo endorsed Lindiwe Sisulu as deputy president, Gwede Mantashe as chairperson and Senzo Mchunu as secretary general.
Limpopo is now the fifth ANC provincial structure to officially nominate Ramaphosa, with Gauteng, Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape already announcing him as their preferred candidate.
Meanwhile, Kwa-Zulu Natal's provincial general council meeting (PGC) is still underway. Its preferred candidate for ANC president is expected to be announced later on Monday.
Presidential hopeful and current ANC chairperson Baleka Mbete opened the PGC, condemning the evident fractions in the party, chanting "not in my name''.
However, speculation is rife that Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will be chosen as KZN’s preferred candidate.
