Limpopo Health slams ‘malicious’ pics of bloody hospital bathroom, corridor

The Department of Health in Limpopo has labelled as “malicious” pictures of blood-covered floors and corridor at Zebediela Hospital shared on social media.
The photos, showing blood-covered floors inside a bathroom and blood spots down a corridor, were circulating on Twitter on Monday.
The department's spokesperson Thilivhali Muavha says the blood was from a male patient, who had sustained two stab wounds on Sunday evening.

"What actually happened is that when he arrived in the late hours of Sunday night but instead of going to casualty (ward) the patient ended up in the bathroom and had a blackout.
"The patient was bleeding profusely which led the staff to intervened and of course took him to casualty where he was resuscitated and stabilised.”
He says the bathroom was cleaned immediately after the incident.
"It is just unfortunate that we have some malicious individuals who got some pictures while everyone was trying to save the patient.”
