LISTEN: Cele defends Gugulethu outburst
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Police Minister Bheki Cele has defended his outburst during a heated exchange between himself and anti-crime activist Ian Cameron in Gugulethu in Cape Town on Tuesday.

Action Society's Ian Cameron was accused of grandstanding during Cele's address to the community, when he criticised the minister for the lack of resources to fight crime in the province’s hotspots.
"Shut up! Shut up!" Cele screamed at Cameron, who was then removed from the venue by the police officers.
Cele was giving an update on the events of July 2021 on Friday with the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster (JCPS).
Cele elaborated on the reasons for him losing his cool.
"Cameron was not invited but was given an opportunity with respect to talk and we listened."
