M1 Bridge Collapse sitting postponed

The Department of Labour has confirmed the M1 Grayston Drive Pedestrian and Cylist structural bridge collapose inquiry sitting that was scheduled for March 27-May 04 has been postponed due to technical challenges.

Two people were killed when the bridge collaposed and 19 were injured.
Proceedings were halted in August 2016, Presiding Officer Lennie Samuel said one of the interested parties had on a short notice made request for additional information from an expert witnesses representing Form-Scaff, a company that provides support work and scafflding.
Samuel says the postponement was beyond their control.
Four witnesses representing Murrary and Roberts have testified, the Labour departmenets says more witnesses from Murrary & Robberts are still expected to testify.
The inquiry is investigating, the responsibility of the client in terms of construction regulations, the responsibility of the principal constructor in terms of the construction regulations and as an employer, the responsibility of the agent on behalf of the client in terms of the same regulations, Supplier of materials and the design.
