Massive drug bust in Limpopo

Police in Limpopo has seized a large amount of drugs during an intelligence-driven operation in Burgersfort and surrounding areas early this morning.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says eight suspects, aged between 20 and 49, were arrested.
The following were recovered:
- 1642 sachets of nyaope and 70 grams of nyaope powder both with the estimated street value of R117 150.00
- 20 grams of CAT with the estimated street value of R6000.00
- 47 grams of crystal meth with the estimated street value of R140 000.00
- One sachet of dagga weighing 3.0 grams valued R50.00.
- R28 445.50 in cash was recovered in possession of this suspects.

Ngoepe says the Provincial Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba commended officers on the job well done.
"He pointed a finger to all the drug lords that their days are numbered unless they stop these dirty acts."
"The suspects will appear before the Burgersfort Magistrate Court on Monday," says Ngoepe.
Police investigations are continuing.
