Mogoeng addresses state capture report, NPA head competency
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng has described the tension between the judiciary and the executive as healthy.

Mogoeng and representatives of the Heads of Court met with the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services in Midrand.
The Chief Justice says it would be beneficial for the judiciary and executive to engage more regularly.
Mogoeng clarified issues around the state of capture report.
"In compliance with the remedial action, if it does get to that point, ours is more of a facilitating role. If the President says 'help us with a name', it is something that we will consider," says Mogoeng.
Mogoeng says they did not discuss the competency of National Prosecuting Authority head Shaun Abrahams.
"The likelihood is, if it does resurface as threatened, it is going to find its way all the way up to the Constitutional Court and I'm not too sure it's a matter I don't want to sit in. Just in case I sit in that matter or I'm not in leave, let me not force people to apply for my recusal," says Mogoeng.
