More rainfall expected into the weekend

The South African Weather Services has warned more wet weather conditions can be expected this weekend as most of the country experiences heavy rainfall.
Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and KwaZulu-Natal have been issued a yellow level 4 warning for disruptive rain and thunderstorms.
Forecaster Samkelisiwe Thwala said the heavy rainfall is expected to continue into the weekend.
"We are expecting it to persist all the way into this weekend because we're still expecting mostly isolated showers and thundershowers persisting in the east and central part of the country.
"This is expected to persist all the way into this weekend and then we do have that 80% chance which is our widespread showers in most places over Limpopo, Gauteng, Mpumalanga as well as KZN."
Thwala said the showers would come with a slight drop in temperatures on Friday.
"There is a cold front that is expected on Friday, but it's a very weak one and will just slip out of the country.
"However, the drop in the temperatures is coming through with the rain that is coming in. So since it's going to be mostly intermittent rain for the most part of the country, the temperatures are expected to drop slightly, especially over the east central parts," she added.
