Mugabe guards suspended after president’s fall
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
Up to 27 of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s security team have reportedly been suspended.
This after they failed to assist him on Wednesday 4 February when he fell at Harare’s main airport
Mugabe had just returned from Ethiopia, where he was appointed the new chairperson of the African Union.
Jacaranda FM’s Zimbabwe Correspondent Zenzele Ndebele says authorities are not happy that Mugabe fell and reached the ground without any of the security personnel assisting him.
