Four people suspected of public violence and possession of stolen property have been arrested in Rustenburg, North West police said on Tuesday.

They were taken into custody on Monday, Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said.
The four were part of about 4000 protesters who looted a shopping centre and burnt public buildings on Sunday.
Ngubane said more arrests were expected and police were investigating.
The four were expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, he said.
