PHOTOS: Mossel Bay and Hartenbos back to normal after cloudburst

Mossel Bay Municipality says there were no causalities and
no evacuations following Sunday morning's heavy rain fall.

Mossel Bays Chief Fire Officer, Joseph Johnston, says the area experienced heavy rains due to a cloudburst which affected the Hartenbos area and private Monte Christo Eco Estates.
"While doing a site inspection throughout the area, it was found some areas had retainer blocks that moved from some premises and in various places, there was waterlogging due to the intense short period of rain that fell," says Johnston.
He adds within one area, in 15 minutes close to 35 to 40mm of rain fell which caused overlogging of water storm systems.
"After a short period, the water dissipated and flowed into the water systems. There was a bit of waterlogging at private residents as well and residents had to attend to that themselves."
