[PICTURES] Man survives horrific car crash
A man sustained serious injuries after his vehicle and a truck collided head-on in Vereeniging on Thursday morning.
Paramedics say the crash was one of the worst they have seen.
Netcare 911's Nick Dollman says jaws of life had to be used to rescue the driver.
"Various paramedics, the fire department and police are attending to a very serious collision on the corners of Houtkap and Steel Roads in Vereeniging. A car and a truck was involved in a collision. A part of the car was stuck underneath the truck."
The driver sustained moderate to serious injuries.
"Fortunately he is in a stable condition and is being transported by an ambulance by the provincial services to hospital for further care."
