Rand Water says the weekend’s maintenance work on the West Rand and Johannesburg was completed on Saturday.
Rand Water had begun scheduled planned maintenance work at Vereeniging Water Treatment Plant and Weltevreden on Friday.
The work was set to last for 24 hours with affected municipalities including Merafong, Mogale City, Rustenburg, and Randwest Local Municipalities.
Rand Water’s Eddie Singo says the maintenance work has been completed without any issues.
"The work was completed within the stipulated time and we were able to commission the line back and started filling up the reservoir.
"We do not have areas that have raised complaints, unless if they did with Johannesburg Water. As we speak our reservoirs are relatively healthy and we do not expect any challenges.
“Reservoirs are currently running at 40% capacity,” adds Singo.
