School food leaves EC pupils in hospital
Updated | By Algoa FM
The Eastern Cape Education Department says about 120 pupils from Kamvalesizwe Primary School in Kenton-on-Sea have been admitted to the Port Alfred hospital.
The pupils were admitted after complaining of stomach aches and vomiting.
Spokesperson Mali Mtima says the children started showing signs on Monday afternoon, after eating a meal served at the school.
The meal was part of the school's nutrition programme.
