Search for little Joslin Smith enters 7th day

The search for six-year-old Joslin Smith from Saldana Bay in the Western Cape has entered its seventh day.
The young girl went missing last week Monday while in the care of the mother’s boyfriend
Police, along with community members and various organisations, have been searching for her over the past seven days.
Saldanha Bay Mayor Andre Brahm Truter said he approached the South African navy to join the search operation.
Truter said he is encouraged by the cooperation of community members in efforts to locate the young girl.
“I can only say thank you from Saldanha Bay municipality’s side, even though people working in our engineering team have been searching underground drains, helping to pump water out whenever we needed it, never a complaint. Just, ‘let’s do it’.
“That seems to be the motto of the town. ‘Let’s do it. Where do you want us to go?’ Not in their 20s but in their 100s.”
