Security fears lead to postponement of Zuma's ANC disciplinary hearing

The ANC has again postponed the disciplinary hearing against former president Jacob Zuma due to security concerns.
On Sunday, the ANC’s secretary general, Fikile Mbalula, said a security assessment identified several concerns.
The former president was expected to appear before the ANC's disciplinary committee on Tuesday.
He has been charged with contravening the organisation's constitution by endorsing the uMkhonto weSizwe political party and for appearing on its candidate list.
The 82-year-old Zuma was suspended in January after declaring his support for the MK group.
He's currently still a member of the ANC.
Mbalula briefed the media on Zuma's disciplinary process at the ANC’s Luthuli House headquarters on Sunday.
"We have informed the NDC (national disciplinary committee) that you are independent, and therefore, we ask this matter be put in abeyance because we do not want something that happened in the past, like when the DA came here, and there was violence.”
The MK earlier said Zuma would appear before the ANC’s disciplinary committee and that the party’s members would come out in their numbers to support the former president.
