Suspect killed during police shootout in Marlboro
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Police shot and killed a man in Marlboro, linked to an earlier business robbery, on Wednesday.

Police were pursuing a car that was used during the robbery in Centurion when the suspects opened fire.
"Five occupants from the vehicle exited whilst shooting at the officers, officers returned fire, one suspect sustained fatal injuries, and the other four managed to escape,” said JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
He urged motorists to avoid Pretoria Main Road and Marlboro Drive during peak-time traffic on Wednesday afternoon.
“The roadway has been closed off due to the processing of the scene, and this is causing heavy delays in the area.
"Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.”
