Updated | By Sibahle Motha
One of the Western Cape’s top cops, who has solved the Henri van Breda and Jason Rohde murder cases, has appeared in the Franschoek Magistrates Court.

Marlon Appollis (41) allegedly shot and killed his colleague David Hoffman over the weekend.
Acting national spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid), Sontaga Seisa, says both policemen were at a braai when the incident took place.
"The two police officials were off duty. It is alleged that during proceedings of the braai, Appollis pulled his service firearm and shot dead his 40-year-old colleague.
"The deceased is alleged to have been shot in the head.”
Appollis has been charged with culpable homicide subject to further investigations.
He was granted R1000 bail and will appear in court again next month.
