Tshwane mother missing in flooding Apies
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Tshwane Emergency Services are searching for a woman whose car was swept away by the overflowing Apies River in western Pretoria.
Emergency Services' spokesperson, Johan Pieterse says they found the woman's 23 year-old son in the car.
"We found the vehicle lying on its roof. It's been badly crushed," says Pieterse.
Pieterse says they have been called out to several incidents relating to low level bridges that have been submerged following heavy downpours in the area.
"We had to remove two vehicles that were stuck on low level bridges, then we went to the Pretoria West area - there was a car stuck close to the well-known Kit Kat building," says Pieterse.
