WATCH: 70 injured in crash on N1 in Pretoria
Paramedics say at least 70 people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the N1 near Garsfontein in Pretoria.
An ambulance, bus, and truck were among at least 12 vehicles involved in the crash on N1 in Pretoria on Saturday evening.
At least 70 people were injured in the crash while one person had to be airlifted to a nearby health facility.
The remaining patients were treated on scene and transported by ambulances to hospitals for further medical care.
“Traffic in the area was severely affected. The cause of the collision is unknown,” says Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Rheenen.
