[WATCH] Kagiso heist leaves people scurrying for bank notes

Gauteng police are looking for a gang of armed suspects who carried out a cash-in-transit heist in Kagiso on the West Rand.

The unknown number of suspects targeted the cash van in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says the suspects, travelling in more than one vehicle, managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of money.
"The suspects used explosives to gain access to the cash.
''The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money as well as leaving cash scattered on the road and the Mercedes-Benz burning.”
A video, purporting to show the aftermath of the heist, has since gone viral on social media.
It shows members of the public rushing to help themselves to bank notes scattered on the road.

The suspects fled the scene in two vehicles.
