[Watch Live] Govt to announce level 2 regulations

Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is expected to lead a briefing this afternoon, detailing the specific new relaxed regulations to come into effect from midnight.
South Africa will see a further reopening of the economy in a bid to recover some of the revenue and boost economic growth.
Tobacco products and alcohol are expected to be back on the shelves from Tuesday, 18 August.
Gyms and health clubs will also be re-open for the first time in more than 6 months.
At the same time, Government is under pressure to set out regulations to ensure increased economic activity in a way that will not cause an uncontrollable spike in Covid-19 infections.
